Plastic Card Printers

Make Cards Easily

If you can use a paper printer, or a label printer, you can use a card printer. They’re simple machines which are easy to set up and get going.

You can either buy a bundle which is everything you need to get started printing, or you can pick a printer by brand.

Most of the printers we sell are “direct to card” which print straight onto the card. There is very little difference between quality and speed for most of these printers. We recommend entry level models like the Smart 31 or Magicard 300; there’s not a lot to go wrong, there’s always plenty of ribbons available and they don’t cost that much.

If you’re not sure what you need, just send us a message and we’ll be happy to help.

Printer Brands

The majority of plastic card printers are “direct to card” printers. There’s very little difference between any of them in terms of card quality. The more expensive a printer is, the more likely it is to have nicer features, but that’s about it.

For more expensive printers (€2500+) the print method is different, and the quality is far higher. This kind of printer is overkill for most applications.

We recommend a small number of printers including the Evolis Primacy, Smart 31 and Magicard 300. These are all tried and tested models and you can’t really go wrong with them. If you’re doing less than 500 cards per year, you’ll be fine with one of those printers.

Give us a call or send an email if you’ve any questions, we are here to help.
